Creating Equal Access to Higher Education


Founded in 2006 by Dr. Paul Wrubel, MindWorksusa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with an overriding mission to increase access to higher education while lowering the cost. It has also served as a Fiscal Sponsor for initiatives that have similar goals and who have not yet attained their 501(c)(3) IRS designation.

Over the years the company has assisted thousands of families and has collaborated with many schools, service clubs, religious organizations, businesses and governmental agencies at all levels from coast to coast who wish to provide greater access to higher education at colleges around the nation.

Sponsored Projects

S.C.O.P.E. (Student Clinical Opportunities for Premedical Experience)

Provides internships and interpreters in a county hospital’s emergency department so that participating students can reflect on the possibilities and attractiveness of a career in medicine.

Be a Good Doctor

An incubator of student-initiated projects on the Stanford University campus providing funding, mentorship and organizational expertise to new projects as they launch into their own non-profits.

Global Leadership Incubator

A project championed by Ana McCullough that identifies low-income students internationally and connects them with exceptional education opportunities. Much of the focus is in Asia in general and Tibet in particular.

Questbridge Special Projects

Under the leadership of Michael McCullough, QuestBridge, a respected college partnership, will launch a new initiative in late 2016 or early 2017. Its format and mission have not been disclosed as of the release of this announcement.

The Maimonides Project

A wholly MindWorksusa managed effort that designs and manages awarded scholarships in ways that create the greatest benefit to the recipient and the most satisfying impact for the donor.

Dr. Paul Wrubel holds four degrees. He received a BA from Middlebury College, an MAT in history from Wesleyan University and an MA and PhD. From Stanford University.
